Players must be currently eligible to participate in Club, Zone and BCGA events. BCGA members who are under the age of 19 as of the final day of the tournament and have either qualified through the Zone Junior Qualifying Tournament for the Supplemental Qualifier are exempt. In addition the following are exempt:
- Top 10 and ties from previous BC Junior who meet age criteria
- Top 5 players and ties from previous BC Juvenile
- BC Bantam Champion prior year
- Current AAA and AA High School Champions
- Junior Chair Exemptions
- Players qualifying through the Zone Junior Qualifiers
The size of the field is 156 players.
The BC Junior Championship is a 72-hole stroke play gross competition. There will be a cut to the low 70 and ties after 36 holes.
The Club Team Championship and Zone Team Championship will be held coincidentally with the first and second rounds of the BC Junior Boys Championship.
Four player zone teams are named by each zone prior to the start of the tournament. Two player club teams are selected after the first round by taking the two players with the lowest score from each club with two or more players.
