The tournament is open to BCGA members who have a Handicap Factor of 18.0 or less and who have not reached 17 year of age prior to midnight the final day of the Championship. Players must be currently eligible to participate in Club, Zone and BCGA events and may be required to present proof of their current membership in the BCGA/RCGA or Foreign golf association.
The BC Juvenile Boy’s Championship is a 54-hole stroke play gross competition. There will be a cut to the low 60 and ties after 36 holes. The BCGA reserves the right to adjust the cut size based on the present field.
The BC Juvenile Girl’s Championship is 54-hole stroke play gross competition. The present size of the Juvenile Girls Championship is too small to warrant a cut. This may be re-evaluated if field size proves sufficient.
The Boy’s Club Team Championship and Boy’s Zone Team Championship will be held coincidentally with the first and second rounds of the BC Juvenile. Four player zone teams are named by each zone prior to the start of the tournament. The zone team championship uses the low 3 of 4 scores each day. The two player club teams are selected after the first round by taking the two players with the lowest score from each club with two or more competitors. The club championship takes both scores from the club teams.
At present time there field for the Juvenile Girls is not large enough to hold club or zone team competitions.
In the event the tournament is not fully subscribed at closing date, the qualified entries received at closing will be confirmed and guaranteed. Entry will be re-opened for 14 days, with eligible entries accepted on a first come, first service basis.
